FLUIDEFI is proud to announce A New Era of Blockchain-Powered Decentralized Finance (DeFi) — A Review has been accepted for publication in the proceedings of the 2022 IEEE 46th Annual Computers, Software, and Applications Conference (COMPSAC)

The scientifically vetted, and peer-reviewed paper, A New Era of Blockchain-Powered Decentralized Finance (DeFi) — A Review, was written in collaboration with the FLUIDEFI team and the University of Manitoba and funded in part by a grant from the Canadian government.

Written for anyone with a background in traditional finance, A New Era of Blockchain-Powered Decentralized Finance (DeFi) explores topics such as decentralized exchanges, stable tokens, impermanent loss, fraud, and risks specific to decentralized finance. The co-authors include Saulo dos Santos, dept. Computer Science, University of Manitoba, Japjeet Singh, dept. Computer Science, University of Manitoba, Ruppa K. Thulasiram, dept. Computer Science, Shahin Kamali, dept. Computer Science, University of Manitoba, Louis Sirico, CTO, FLUIDEFI, and Lisa Loud, CEO, Fluidefi and IEEE vice-chair on QuADD/WG.

COMPSAC is the IEEE Computer Society Signature Conference on Computers, Software, and Applications. It is a major international forum for academia, industry, and government to discuss research results and advancements, emerging challenges, and future computer and software technologies and applications trends. The theme of COMPSAC 2022 is “Computers, Software, and Applications in an Uncertain World.”

COMPSAC is a highly respected venue for disseminating key research on computer and software systems and applications and has influenced fundamental developments in these fields for over 40 years.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers — IEEE Computer Society is the premier source for information, inspiration, and collaboration in computer science and engineering.

Its purpose and scope are “to advance the theory, practice, and application of computer and information processing science and technology” and the “professional standing of its members
